StatBaseball© is a fairly simple, straightforward computer baseball simulation. The game takes basic baseball statistics of major league players and uses them to create a baseball game that provides both stimulating strategy / decision making options and the feel of being at a real major league game.

You are the manager! You control the strategic moves that can make average players great and great players Hall of Famers!

StatBaseball© features a "Replay" mode allowing you to replay / simulate the entire MLB season with player statistics and standings provided. The game also includes a "Computer-Manager" option so you can either play a game in solitaire mode or have the computer manage your opponent.

First choose your starting pitchers and lineups. As the game progresses you may need to make pitching changes, call for a pinch hitter or pinch runner, move base runners along using a stolen base attempt, sacrifice bunt or taking an extra base on a single or double.

The game employs a concept I call the "Flex-Card" which means a batter's probabilities of getting a home run, hit, base-on-balls, strikeout, etc. will automatically adjust based on the pitcher's ratings for that category. Check out the "ScreenShots" page to get a preview of the game.

The 2021 season version incorporates new rule changes made to MLB including relief pitchers used in the middle of an inning must pitch to at least 3 batters or until the end of the inning. Also, for extra-inning games: At the start of an inning the batter who batted last from the previous inning starts the inning at 2nd base.

Beginning with the 2022 Season version pitchers will no longer bat and therefore there is no longer a "Pitcher-Hitting Card". All games (Exhibition or Season Replay) use the DH rule for NL and AL games.

Check out the "Screen Shots" page for more game details.

There is no charge for the game. It is a free Download. Enjoy!
